Before you open your first campaign.
It lets you pack up a long game without losing anything. At the end of a session, a four-step assistant has you photograph the board, record each player's state, write two lines for next time and tick the packing checklist. When you come back, the “Where were we?” screen puts it all in front of you.
No. States are pre-filled from the previous session: you only fix what changed (hit points, resources, cards in hand).
Anything played over several sittings: campaigns like Gloomhaven, legacy games, very long games, boxed adventures. The app contains no rules and no publisher content; it keeps your notes and photos, whatever the game.
During the wrap-up, spoilers go in their own field. In the journal they stay blurred until tapped: a player who missed a session can read back without spoiling what comes next.
Yes, if iCloud is enabled: campaigns, sessions and photos sync through your private iCloud space. There is no LaCobble account and no LaCobble server.
Your first two campaigns are free. A one-time purchase then unlocks unlimited campaigns. No subscription, no ads.
Yes. If you set the date of the next session, a notification arrives the day before at 6 pm with the summary of last time.
